Card 1 - Sunflower fence
by Dina

Create sky background first on white card, using a stencil and chalk ink pad or chalks. Stamp sunflower 3 times in Adirondack Espresso ink on gold (I used 3 different shades) cardstock. Trim and shade using colored pencils. Stamp skeleton leaf in Adirondack Pesto on olive cardstock. Trim. Punch 6 tags from scraps of brown paper. Arrange as a fence. Trim a strip of brown cardstock. Stamp and attach to card. Arrange leaf flowers and attach to card. “Pop” center flower with mounting foam for dimension. For brad ladybugs, draw head and antenna, then attach brad. Draw spots with a permanent black marker. Sketch in dot trails with a black pen.

Card 2 - Pink Sunflower
by Dina

Stamp sunflower in Stazon Jet Black ink. Watercolor petals. Trim image, removing background petals. Stamp center of flower on white cardstock in Citrus Yellow chalk ink. Trim and layer on flower. Layer patterned paper (TAC – Fruity Fusion) on card. Stamp plaid line as a stem in black ink. Attach ribbon to card, and tie ribbon scraps to the side. Attach flower and “pop” center with mounting foam for dimension. Stamp “Celebrate” in Stazon Jet Black ink on a strip of white cardstock. Create tag ends by punching each end at a diagonal into the corner of Marvy scalloped square punch. Attach to card with eyelets.

Card 3

Stamp sunflower background with Stazon on clear acetate. With a fine tip glue bottle and a clear drying glue, fill in the flower centers on the side you stamped on. Sprinkle brown glitter and let dry. Once dry, remove excess glitter back into container. With glue fill in several random petals. Sprinkle dark yellow glitter and allow to dry. Remove excess glitter. Fill in remaining petals with glue and add light yellow glitter. Remove excess glitter once the card is dry. Mount to card with glitter side against cardstock.

Card 4

Card 5
by Rebecca
Stamp stamping background in olive ink. Drag edges of card across orange stamp pad. Stamp flower. Color, highlight with orange glitter pen and cut out. Stamp flower center, color, cut out and mount with mounting tape.

Card 6
Jan
Stamp sunflower with Timber Brown Stazon. Color in with ink pads and aqua painter. Sponge Saffron around the daisy and Brown on the edges. Mount on layers of olive, moss and chocolate papers. Tie ribbon around mats. Stamp greeting randomly on moss panel in brown, then randomly stamp sunflower over greeting also in brown. Sponge around the edges with brown. Attach to card. Attach matted sunflower.

Card 7 by Sarah - Antique Sunflower

Stamp sunflower background with “Vintage photo” distress ink, and mist with water before stamping onto beige/yellow cardstock. Cut two strips of dark green organdy ribbon, attach to panel, secure onto dark green card. Trim text with scallop edged scissors, and cut sunflower out along the lines. Attach to small sunflower, place sunflower where the ribbons cross over. Mount sentiment onto dark brown cardstock, attach to card.

Card 8 & 9 by Sarah - Simple Sunflower

Cut 5 x 3.75” green textured panel from cardstock matching the card. Stamp all four corners with floral punch, saving the punch outs. Attach to 5.25” x 4” yellow textured panel, attach to card. Stamp small sunflower with brown die ink onto yellow cardstock. Cut out and attach to card. Create sunflower centers by making “buttons” the size of the stamped center with black glue. Squeeze glue onto parchment paper or nonstick glue pad. When cool coat with bronze bling dust. To create “seedy” look, prick repeatedly with toothpick. Place glue piece on card and heat card from underneath for a couple seconds. Let cool. Stamp sentiment on yellow cardstock with dark green ink, trim sides with scalloped edged scissors. Attach to green panel. Glue the punched out “leaves” to the middle of the bottom two punched out corners.
*the greeting on card 9 is from Eureka Stamps (www.eurekastamps.com)

Card 10 by Sarah - Baroque Sunflower

Stamp white panel with baroque background, emboss with sticky emboss powder and light gold bling dust or simply emboss with gold. Stamp small sunflower with brown dye ink onto beige/yellow cardstock. Create sunflower center by making “button” the size of the stamped center with black glue. Coat with bronze bling dust. To create “seedy” look, stamp repeatedly with toothpick. Stamp sentiment on white or clear vellum, emboss with gold. Attach sentiment, sunflower, and gold organdy bow to white panel, attach to yellow textured card.

Card 11 by Sarah - Sunflower thank you

Stamp sunflower background with Versamark pad onto white glossy cardstock. Heat set. Brayer ink from rainbow pad over cardstock (or apply different inks with foam applicator. Stamp large sunflower with Stazon black ink over top. Cut out flower along lines. Cut half size yellow panel, attach to right side of coral cardstock. Cut two narrow strips of yellow cardstock, apply to cardstock overlapping on upper left corner. Attach sunflower, stamp sentiment on bottom right corner.

Card 12 by Sarah - Sunflower you’re in my thoughts

Stamp sunflower background with Versamark pad onto white glossy cardstock. Heat set briefly. Brayer ink from rainbow pad over cardstock (or apply different inks with foam applicator. Stamp background again over cardstock, and on a second white glossy cardstock panel, with Stazon ink. Heat set briefly. Trim just enough of the colored glossy on two adjoining sides so that you can lay it “inside” the white cardstock, with the pattern matching precisely. If the two panels are at angles to each other, I find it helps to first put just a bit of temporary glue on the back of the colored panel so it will hold for you while you trim the white panel so the outside edges of the panels are perfectly perpendicular. Trim the other two sides, glue together, being careful to match lines. Attach multicolored organdy ribbon around panels. Stamp text onto small white oval, glue onto slightly larger pink oval. Attach to ribbon/card, mount onto coral cardstock.

Card 13 by Sarah - Sunflower blessings

Stamp sunflower background with black Stazon ink onto white glossy cardstock. Apply butterscotch and cranberry inks. Stamp sunflower background again with Versamark pad onto black cardstock, emboss with black. Stamp sunflowers at angle onto dk raspberry cardstock, emboss with gold. Tear black and cranberry papers, mount onto glossy, then onto gold panel, then onto cranberry card. Stamp text in black on medium raspberry cardstock, mount onto scrap of gold, attach to card.

Card 14 by Sarah - Sunflowers with metallic powders

Stamp sunflower background with versamark onto black glossy cardstock panel, heat with sticky embossing powder. Apply metallic powders to the sunflowers, copper for the middles, yellow gold for the petals. Stamp single sunflower the same way (using metallic green for the leaves & stem) onto a scrap of black glossy, trim close to flower. Stamp scripture with black ink (I used Stazon) onto ochre vellum scrap, emboss with clear embossing powder. Be careful not to overheat or you will warp the vellum. Mount it onto panel, slightly off center. Attach to sunflower panel. Mount single sunflower onto card, overlapping the vellum (which will center it). Secure other side with copper brads. Mount onto copper card.

Card 15 by Sarah - Sunflower with foils

These two pictures are the same card. The card looks black and gold and the holograph effect adds just a touch of color. The more accurate look of the card is an effect somewhere inbetween the two pictures. Stamp sunflower background with versamark onto black glossy cardstock panel, heat with sticky embossing powder. Apply gold hologram foil. Attach to yellow card. Stamp text the same way onto a scrap of black glossy, trim to a wavy form. Attach to sunflower panel slightly below center. Affix gold ribbon bow at the top of the panel.
